Pasta  con Lentils

1 TBS oil  15ml

1 Clove Garlic chopped

1 Onion chopped


1 1/4 Cups Lentils (in 1 T sherry)  300ml (15ml)

3 Cups Water (w/broth)  700 ml


1 pinch Salt

1/2 tsp oregano dry   3ml

Basil Leaves (1/4 t dry)  2ml

Hot Red Pepper 1/4t crushed  2ml

2 Cups chopped Tomato 480ml


4 to 6 TBS Tomato paste  75ml


3/4 # Pasta

grated cheese


PROCEDURE:

Saute oil, garlic, onion.

Add lentils in sherry & water with broth.

Bring to boil>cover>simmer 30 min

Add seasonings & Tomato>cook 20"

Boil water>add pasta>simmer 8 or 9 min

Add Tomato Paste to lentils >simmer 5''


Good with SALAD and toasted BREAD
